Datapoints

Datapoints are the currency you earn for surfing the web. Each top level domain (like "www.google.com" or "www.aol.com") is worth 2 datapoints. You spend datapoints when you buy tools, send a message from your toolbar, or when you trip a mine.

Using Crates To Gift and Trade

Use crates to reward players for coming to your website. Or leave a crate on a site that you love!

Ask for a trade in the forums if you're out of tools.

Acquaintances

An acquaintance is someone that you choose to connect with in the game. In addition to being your acquaintance, another player can also be either your rival or your ally.

An Ally is a kind of Acquaintance. Allies take each other's missions and trade tools.

A Rival is a kind of Acquaintance. Rivals mine and St. Nick each other.

How PMOG Assigns Associations

Using lightposts makes you more of a Pathmaker; using crates makes you more of Benefactor; using armor makes you more of a Bedouin; using mines makes you more of a Destroyer; using St. Nicks makes you more of a Vigilante, and using portals makes you more of a Seer.

The Shoppe's Position

Every Association begins with access to one tool. Destroyers and mines; Bedouins and armor; Seers and portals; Pathmakers and lightposts; Vigilante and St. Nicks; Benefactors and Crates. Each player is allowed entrance to only 3 Associations at any given time. However, how the Associates of each Association decide to trade their tools is up them. The Shoppe will not be held responsible for unauthorized use of tools by prohibited Associations. Consider this the Shoppe's position.
