I love PMOG, I want more.

About the only thing that would make PMOG more game like to me would be MORE loot / rewards that I could add to my character that would make me unique.

I guess that is the same as DP's, badges, leveling up, Associations, and Missions I've taken.

The only other thing would be more graphical ways to make my character cool on the Profile page. I guess that's just cosmetic.

I haven't made it to level 2 yet, Does the Association icon on my PMOG toolbar change to a different graphic, showing I'm now a higher level? Perhaps if the toolbar had more widgets showing progress or badges??

When I am paying attention to PMOG, I'd like my character or toolbar to be more interesting, more unique. But I don't know what that would look like.

Well, we don't really have "characters" in the WoW or AO sense, so I don't know how graphical it can really get. The more flashy the profile pages get the more it seems we would be moving into MySpace territory, also.

PMOG is still in development, though, so it could certainly go in any number of directions. What I think might eventually happen is that your level will actually start to matter, probably in terms of access to special tools, and that might provide some of the experience you seem to be longing for.

Right now, the only way to make your character cool and interesting is to BE cool and interesting, and to make some win missions for us to take. We are PASSIVE-ists, remember.

Pmog is great! I love it too! And I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here, but somehow I don't think the customization aspects would work well in a passive game.

The graphic will change when you change Association, it has no change due to level.

I agree with both of you guys. PMOG should stay unique. Don't become another MySpace. Don't forget it is PASSIVE.

@pixielo - thanks for the info re: Toolbar Association icon.

here's more of my thinking out loud:

The Alpha had a nifty ability for players to create custom items that could be placed on any page for anyone to find and take. They could be limited in number to make them as rare or common as you liked.

It wouldn't surprise me if Gamelayers has some sort of customisation of tools/badges (or some new mechanic) in store.

LOL. PMOG is supposed to be passive, but I think most of us are playing much more non-passively! HAHA!

I'm a pretty passive Passivist, even though I do take it seriously. I don't go out of my way to jump in levels, or build up on DP. I'll take missions when I'm in the mood or have the time. Lay a crate or two. Only real 'active' thing I do is scour the forums, because I find the concept and idea of PMOG so incredible and enlightening. I suppose I put a lot of active effort into mission creation, but I don't make 'em until I've got a decent bank of lightposts and DP (got 3 nigh-completed, just saving up resources. ;) )

This truly is new media at work, and new media at its finest. And I'm proud to be part of the experiment.
