So, I thought I understood how dp works: basically you just surf around and every time you hit a new top level url you get 2 dp. But a couple of times I have stumbled upon a url that makes my dp shoot up like a rocket! Which is so very cool and I am the opposite of complaining about it, but I would love to know why that happens--and I bet others would, too! :) |

it indeed has happened to me...and now i feel so much less guilty. i think it's an html thing...some pages maybe coded in a way that makes pmog think every page is top level. just a guess. but i'm not sorry. :-) |

lol - Good don't apologize for exploiting a metric you didn't know was there. ;) Allyson, Moxie: can you ladies tell me what URLs give you crazy datapoint love? For awhile Facebook would give a player 2 dp each time you reloaded your profile. As did pmog.com! Oops! |

merci, i exploited the CRAP out of mathcamp.com, (which i happen to find through a mission at least!) and iheartindie.com was a boon while it lasted. theres' a new post about xbox.com over here:http://pmog.com/forums/pmog-misadventures/topics/big-bug here's to more datapoint love! |

Okay, I think dwell.com is still giving me points and I'm not even there anymore! Seriously, it's insane! All of Dwell is very friendly, but when I clicked on this link: http://www.dwell.com/daily/blog/... is when things went absolutely crazy! |

Should I feel like an ass for taking advantage of this? I guess not...

So, I think I figured something out. Bad Banana Blog is another site that gives you dp for each time you hit a page. Now, I read my blogs in Google Reader, but some blogs I have to actually visit the site to read a post and those seem to be the sites that let every page count as a top level domain. Weird, huh? What's even weirder: Bad Banana is a typepad blog http://badbanana.typepad.com/ and other typepad blogs don't act that way for me... I wonder if it has something to do with how I am accessing it? Honestly, I don't have a clue. I'm just rambling so as to avoid working. |

Some of the pages on http://www.designspongeonline.com/ too, but not all of them. This phenomenon is really kind of random! |
