First would be the ability to quote other people (popular feature in other forums...).

Also it'd be nice if there were a link on your profile that lists all your forum posts so you can easily reference topics you care about and can check frequently for forum activity.

Here's a semi-forum related suggestion: The little P on the plugin (left-side with the drop-down menu); it needs a forum link...It has a Shoppe, Codex, etc link but not a forum (most important) link.
