My first Greasemonkey script is mildly helpful, but only for the niche "can't add to 10/missing fingers" demographic. This script was inspired by a feature request (http://pmog.com/forums/gameplay/..., which has a big advantage: a built-in market of one. I'm sure the feature will roll out any day now, but until then my script is a good workaround.
For anyone who wants to use these greasemonkey extensions but doesn't know how, feel free to ask me. If you can't spare a DP, ask clusty.com (a search engine which is not google, for the indies) to help you "install greasemonkey".

PMOG Last Post Link
http://userscripts.org/scripts/s...

Save yourself a scroll and a click with this small collection of PMOG interface improvements.

FEATURES:
PMOG Forums: Adds a "(last post)" link to every topic over a page long.
PMOG Latest Posts: adds a "(last post)" link to the 10 newest topics
PMOG Topics: adds a copy of the "pages" links to the top of the page

CHANGELOG:
[cosmetic]: the last page link now says " (loading...)" until the script fetches the page number.
[important]: (suggestion #1 from http://pmog.com/forums/gameplay/...) link now goes through two stages: "loading..."-->"last page"-->"last post".
[important]: (suggested at http://pmog.com/forums/gameplay/...) now works at http://pmog.com/posts/latest
[cosmetic]: fixed bug where link name was stuck at "(last page)" on latest topics
[important]: (suggestion #2 from http://pmog.com/forums/gameplay/...) added a copy of the "pages" links to the top of each paged topic

UPDATE[important]: (all thanks to zous) reduced server load, fixed bug where topics exactly 2 pages long did not register

It has been tested in Firefox 3 and Firefox 3 Beta 5, but not 2.5. You are looking for the words "(last page)" to the right of the name of the person to last replay, as in this screenshot:

If it's not there, the quick solution is to upgrade to FF3, but I understand that all of the extensions etc for FF2.5 aren't available yet on 3.

Let me know if you don't see it.

Hi, I am using FF 2.0.0.14 and unfortunately I dont see the link either,

The only reason I havent upgraded is I like how PMOG works now, mainly problem free. Can any FF3 users tell me if they have any problems that cause major hassle?

Thanks in advance.

since the script hits the PMOG server 2 times for every link, I limited it to threads that were more than a page long.
I'm glad it's working on someone's computer, I was started to think I'd hallucinated testing it ;)

Echoing others, I will definitely use this if you can get it working on the "latest post" page. I'm glad we finally got some greasemonkey people around to help out! I'm not good at writing scripts myself but I'm all for user ones that help add functionality.

Now works at http://pmog.com/posts/latest for the latest 10 posts.
Since my script is version-impaired, you'll need to uninstall the old version before you install the updated version.

Now that is quality, removed the old version and replaced it with the new, and it works like a treat.

I hardly ever go into the main forum and prefer to use the latest posts, this is a life saver. (well time saver)

Alright, one last update. Now adds a copy of the page nav to the top of each topic.
Sorry for the constant updates, I know it's a pain to uninstall and reinstall (I have to do it a few times while testing ;)).
I will not update this script again unless there's a major bug or a sufficiently bodacious suggestion that is directly related to it.

HAVE NEW IDEAS?
I read the suggestion threads religiously, so post any ideas you have there. I want the developers to have every opportunity to learn about what the players want from PMOG, and I want to make sure they are at least not against a feature before I implement it. My scripts are designed to be only a temporary workaround until the devs implement the real thing.
