A lot of the portals I click seem to link to sites which give someone else a bonus, like those minicity sites. They're always completely irrelevant to the site I'm on and terribly annoying. I suggest you make it so you're not able to make a portal to any minicity site, they're never relevant. I thought the idea of portals was to show you a site in a similar genre, not to advertise your own little game thing. |

I agree about this misuse of portals, but I don't think they should be restricted like that. Yes it sucks to click a useless portal, but they're among the forces of chaos for a reason. It's annoying, just like getting mined, or finding that you have a st nick on you. Just be more aware of the portals you take. I set my filter to four stars and I've not had problems with those Minicity portals. Try that before looking for a more draconian response. |

I'd usually click the MyCity links into a new tab, just to be nice... but the blasted site seems to be playing havoc with FF; it freezes every time I go on there. All of the MyCity links are labelled as such, just dismiss them and move on (though currently that seems to be on the fritz too!). And do as patch615 says... all will be well again :) |

Not all of them are labelled as the minicity page. When I find another example, I'll show you. |

Crank up your Quality Threshold to 5, from either your Toolbar, or the menu from the Add-ons tab...and watch the useless Portals disappear...
