I know that once you hit level 5, you get restricted to only buying your three associated class's items. However, what does everyone feel about giving small discounts to people with that association? For example, if I know that portals are always going to be kind of expensive, I won't want to be a Seer since I like going around and placing lots of items. What I'm suggesting is that a primary association might get 20% off their item, then 10% for whatever their secondary class's item is and 5% for tertiary. Of course, I probably just answered this question myself by saying "pick a different class". Still, I think this might even spice up the trade system a little since different people will get various discounts. EDIT: Boy, when you enter a topic, the title sure does look angry when it's in all caps. It's making sure you know this is AN OPINION ON SHOPPE ITEMS. |

I like the idea. I'm not level 5 yet, so I don't know how it works, but I kind of think it might be better if you just get charged a large tariff for non-class items. It will still encourage smart trade, but it won't completely remove the option to buy. |

Good points I must say. I'm mostly bumping for importance, but this does seem a bit restricting. I'm not sure I'm going to want to stick with my choice, even if I have 3 of em when I've gotten to lvl 5. |

Bumping for more opinions? I also like scarybug's idea, depending on how large the tariff would be (large, but hopefully not overwhelming). |

I completely love the idea. I'd even take it a step further and say each association gets a different % deal. An example would look something like this: Primary = 35% off
*numbers are arbitrary of course. |

@bando: That's basically what I said in the original post, but yeah thanks for agreeing ;) |

I've suggested earlier that associations could get maybe 2nd-level versions of all the items once they reach lvl 5, so that each item is more powerful or has more uses, to give it more of a "specialized" feel that I think classes (err associations) would benifit from. |

And the percentage off effect in the shoppe might also get more players to cooperate amongst themselves for buying purposes. As it is, as soon as I hit level 5, I would just ask my amigos who were of the appropriate association or under level 5 to do my shopping for restricted items.

I kind of like etherel's idea of higher level items, but pixielo makes a good point...Higher level items for every 5 levels doesn't sound too bad, though :o |
