Every one post your ideas!

My idea is:
more kinds of weapons, like an advanced mine that hurts you on any site on that basic url, like this: i lay that mine on google.com, but you go to google.com/images it hurts you too.

pretty shit idea but something...

If a single mine affected all subdirectories, it would have to be mighty expensive (or the game would be imbalanced). Such a device really, if it were to exist, should be called a blockade or and be counterable by another device perhaps called a rumrunner :)

Semi-permanent/movable crates. Basically, crates that kind of work like portals, where they can be used some 50 times before they disappear, and can be refilled.

Also, although it's not new, I think lightposts should be reusable. I've got posts on mission-breaker sites I'd like to be able to use.

What about some sort of sonde that could tell you what there is on a page (wall, mine, owner of the objects, ...).
It'll be usefull when walls & rockets are implemented.

or how about a WALL? that blocks a site, and u must throw a mine at it or something and make it asplode (ur damage :( )

or a SCANNER or something, that tells u the name of the guy that pases it

how about a DOOR tool, that only allys or clan or guys on a list can go throught,and see the page, and destroyers as first class can boooom it

or a NO MINING ZONE, that can be placed by vigilantes or pathmakers

and how about BOMBS? so u NUKE a page, and u cant see/use/go there for 5 minutes, imagine THAT on google...

Walls are going to be implemented soon, to prevent the laying of mines.
Rockets are going to be implemented soon, to take down those walls.

how about u shoot the rockets with artelery like a missil to a site, pasing by other sites, and that page has a damage for all ppl on it (like a mine) and something happens

Thanks, Noxn--but I'm not a G-d, just a happy player like yourself.
And as much as I like the idea of causing collateral damage on other sites--how would you define those sites?
Would the chain of rockets be set up like lightposts are in missions? That would be a fun way to daisy-chain explosions, for sure--but I think at the moment that the rockets are meant to only affect walls, not cause damage to players.

On a parallel thread, we're talking about reloadable crates. I also like the idea of fashioning a PmoGoomba modeled off of the ubiquitous vacuumer of the Woot! site that might sweep our profiles to set off mines in our absences. This came up because the reloadable crates I've been thinking about are fashioned off of the Bowl of Chew-toys (Bag of Crap) model of reward for solving puzzles. TANKS!

A new item for the Bedouin class, the TANK! They cost like 10,000 DP but you can use them to roll through a minefield detonating them all at once! Each webpage cleared counts as one use & you get 50.

This would really help clean up after people go on a mining spree & yet would not be subject to overuse due to the prohibitive cost. It would encourage player-interaction because you could hire a Bedouin to clear out a specific webpage or your user page in an emergency.

Naturally, initial cost & number of uses are merely suggestions.

Edit:
I realize that Minesweeper would be a more appropriate term for this device but it was greatly inspired by this German WWII era minesweeping tank.

How about a catapult, to throw people off pages? Could be either a trap (like an involuntary portal), or a weapon, which could be used upon people visiting the same page as you.

Gates which allow a mission to be forked into multiple paths? Offers more options than mere clickthroughs and perhaps reward players who engage with missions.

I completely agree with Evil_Jim and the Tank of Mine Destruction...
I think I'd like to place a further caveat on the Tank--that the # of mines it can destroy is in proportion to its cost, in order to quiet those who are like to complain about such things...
But yeah, an expensive Tank would be sweet!

How about a cage that people keep out of a page they want to visit? You drop it over a page, and if someone tries to access it, a message appears "This site is caged". You would need some kind of key or tool to open the cage.

(I thought that was what the walls were for).

I love the tank idea, the Torch of Order does not have any way to combat mines (other than the Walls which are on their way).

Also it brings up the idea of special tools that only someone of that Primary Association could buy/use, which I'm also all for. A reusable-crate for Benefactors and something like a "Gate" that EthDem mentioned for Pathmakers (though to be honest I'm still sorta against the Pathmaker association). Also some kind of crawling-mine for Destroyers which could be planted on a site and auto-deploy mines on pages which that site contains links to. An Unstable Portal for Seers which can send people to one of multiple possible sites. A St.Nick Infector for Vigilantes which auto-infects a certain number of someone's allies with St. Nicks when attached to a player.

Of course, some of these could be abilities instead. Such as for Benefactors, no real reusable-crate, but instead they can simply fit more into a single crate.

I would like some sort of Medic tool for removal of St. Nicks. Or at least something like traveling through a Portal could remove a St. Nick. Right now, St. Nick's are a little overpowered as there's nothing to remove them. But I guess that's the reason why there is currently a limit on how many you can have on you at one time.
