Want to plug some basic information into your missions but are tired of the contempt drawn by wikipedia lightposts? Try one of the sources suggested in this article:

Meh, I would dislike, just as much, any mission made entirely of MULTIPLE encyclopedia entries, just as much as entries from ONE encyclopedia.

Oh sure, but if there's one of these sites that's thematically appropriate, better that than the standard my-first-lightpost-is-wikipedia thing...

I would rather have a mission full of wikipedia links than one with a single about.com link. I loathe about.com

Or "Yahoo Answers" bahaha

We were looking up a dealer for Urinals to get some info on a specific model one of our clients requested in his office we're designing, and some reason... Yahoo! Answers popped up on the google results, as a couple of the relevant engineers were standing behind me (oh yea, remember to turn 'off' PMOG when others are viewing your browsing, heh) and I was just about COMMANDED to check the link because it said something about a trickler at the urinal and "Is it bad if I keep trickling for up to an hour after peeing"

We were laughing so hard at the post, and more so at the "answers"! ... we forgot what we Googled for in the first place ;( I got the info later but oh man... more like Yahoo! Punchlines rather than Answers.

If you want real answers, hit http://ask.metafilter.com - you get a much better quality of response than Y!answers.
