I understand why there's a limit to the amount of St. Nicks that can be placed on someone. However, why is the limit so low? Someone can place 20 mines on a website but I can only place five Nicks on someone (and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain it's only five). Also, correct me if I'm wrong. If I trip someone's mine, I then place a St. Nick on them. They do 10dp damage with their mine, and basically I've paid for a 40dp St. Nick. This means that the next mine that person lays, they lose 40dp. Yet, I've lost 50dp. Armor balances this out a little (since armor doesn't protect from Nicks), except I've still paid for the armor, which protects you from 10 mines=100dp loss. By buying the armor, I've already sunk 100dp back into the system, and am spending 10dp per mine that I trip. Either way I'm going to lose at least 10dp, and if I Nick them back I lose 50dp. So, pretty much any way that you cut it St. Nick-ing isn't really worth the cost since mines are more powerful. Don't get me wrong, I still love the feeling of revenge I get when I Nick someone and still want Vigilante to be my primary association. However, I think this goes along with what I said in a thread elsewhere that associations should get discounts on their items (along with the fact that Nicks should be a little cheaper anyway). This makes a bit more sense to me since you're selecting your associations on what you think you'll use more. Without a price decrease in Nicks, it seems that Nick-ing isn't really worth it. Methinks a bit more balancing needs to be done. |

You've got to remember, it also cost's the miner 40dp to deploy that mine, and people watching the activity page will nuke them with st nicks. Everyone is at a loss, but thats the fun of the game, to play :) |
