My apologies if this has been brought up before, but it seems like there is little incentive NOT to wear armor. I do understand that the cost of armor may be considered incentive (i.e., it might be cheaper to take 3 mine hits than to buy armor to protect from them... but I am too much of a shoat to know for sure). However, given the relative ease by which you can accumulate more DPs, and the much more palpable satisfaction of hitting a mine and having it bounce off your helmet harmlessly, it seems like most players are likely to just put there armor on and keep it on (anyone disagree with this?) I was thinking it might be a lot more interesting and fun if there were some other positive for not wearing armor. Perhaps when you aren't wearing armor, you could earn DP twice as fast as with armor on? That way the decision to put on or take off your armor would be much more critical; if you encounter only a few mines now and again, you might get used to leaving your armor off. Other players might micro-manage when their armor is on/off based on what sites they are on or if they are being antagonized by a particular rival, etc. The flip side of this idea would be to allow destroyers to buy different types of mines that might have different intensities.... Any thoughts? |
