I wanna get a "Indie" badge.
"For players who go a 24 hour period without using Google."

Does it mean that I have to stop using every google services including Gmail, Google Reader, etc ?

and how to stop SpellCheck function?
Does I need to uninstall "Google Toolbar for Firefox" ?

Yeah, you need to avoid all of google's services, which isn't actually that hard to do. I did it for about a week straight before I got the badge, but that was because I wasn't logging off at night so that the badge could be awarded. Anyhoo, you don't need to uninstall the toolbar, just don't use it. I hope this helps :)

It's not that hard to un-Google yourself...

Try using Blingo.com, which is powered by Google, for searches. =)

this was the hardest thing for me to do. I often just type things in that google search box without thinking or take a quest that directs me onto google. I was especially careful this weekend and my hard work paid off. yahoo was a decent alternative, but if blingo or anything google looking works better for you, then use that. i personally found yahoo's results off putting and ended up typing everything into wikipedia instead!

I just picked a weekend and made it my weekend to "go without the computer". I logged on twice, once each day to check out woot's latest deals, and then shut down the computer again. The results? An Indie badge and some exercise that I got by actually going outside and enjoying the fresh air. I may have to start getting away from my computer more often...
