Can I be the Court Reporter? =P |
joe![]() Level 10 Posts: 145 |
Ha ha ha, this is an interesting idea. But maybe candidates should be nominated, seconded, and then voted for? Although I like the people you've nominated already. |

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive! |

I want to be the court illustrator. I make good stick figures. :) |

I'm honored really, but I'm not sure how good of a justice I'd make. Also, not very sure on what I'd be deciding on :P |

I dislike him on principle but I don't think puff's breaking any actual rules, or even role. As it stands he's playing the role of a destroyer well, even if he is focusing on a select few people. |

Looks as though we have a highly competent court of justice including a jester, stick-figure capability, and a crazy guy. This will be like a stage-play. I think Zous's comment "I'm not sure how good of a justice I'd make" is a perfect example of why he's qualified. As for Jocasta666, I actually nominated her as the merciful one... Snocrsh's comment is serious, however, and true. But since PMOG is about play, there's no reason we shouldn't play at order (or even benevolent tyranny) as well as at disorder. The whole game theme of order vs. chaos hasn't been well explored yet. People act on behalf of order, but only in a chaotic way. I guess I'd placate snocrsh by reminding him that unlike the real world, in PMOG our Gods (and Goddesses) are among us. Should the balance every favor the tyranny of order over chaos, they have only to make it easier to create havoc (cheaper or more deadly mines, untraceable, etc. etc.) This seems like it could be fun. So who wants to bring a case. Ultimatepuff anyone? Ready with your stick figures, Sarastani? |

Ultimatepuff is my nemesis as well... I'm looking forward to the release of walls, to protect those in need of protecting. That sounds like fun. |

There is no greater calling than to serve your fellow men. There is no greater contribution than to help the weak.I am here to serve as needed. |

The good guys surely outweigh the bad guys in this community, I think the Amazing Crate was a pretty good testament to that (only one person looted a crate that stayed on a website for more than 24 hrs.). If there's going to be some kind of Jedi council... well all I can say is then the 'bad guys' don't have much else going for them except some flash bombs and spooky portals. Its kind of early in the game (the population is too small) to enforce chivalry and heirarchy. |

If this becomes a Jedi council I get to be Obi-Wan |

I think Steampunker is right, but of course we're not doing this because it's right but because it's fun. Still, what Steampunker says is a good reason why our game designers should take note of this thread. At the moment the balance of power (including numbers of users) is heavily weighted to order. Mines are trivial. In three weeks of playing, I've used up exactly one suit of armor. I've taken to using mines to "poke" my friends. The only "attacks" that are serious are those committed when someone mine-spams one player's profile; these attacks only concern one player, however. If we're going to have a court of requests, then we need something worth fighting for (and against). It would fun if browsing the web was a more nerve-wracking experience. Here are some suggestions (I should probably put this in a new thread):
In the end, though, we need more sophisticated players who will take up the torch of chaos. We need lots of Moriarties and Belials, not just a few illiterate thugs. Given my username, maybe I should branch off and start a "Council in Hell" thread for the opposition :) |

• make it so you can't trigger your own (or perhaps allies) mines. As it stands, players who want to create havoc can't cooperate at all. If they both try to mine a series of pages, they'll keep triggering each other's mines (and their own). /This |

Man, I need more DP... been buying and laying St Nicks pretty thick, and dropping Armour crates to those worst hit |
typhon![]() Level 11 Posts: 122 |
Is that a formal request to the court, tasschap? |
tasschap![]() Level 10 Posts: 52 |
Not as such, but I'd welcome the donations until I can get up there. Though, this is a good time to decide on what we want to do about this when we are Avenging things. Do we choose just a few of us to be armoured and St. Nick'd so we draw the vengeance or spread the pain... |
wormw00d![]() Level 14 Posts: 191 |
@tasschap You have a crate on your profile. |
tasschap![]() Level 10 Posts: 52 |
Merci muchly :) Off to stockpile... |
tasschap![]() Level 10 Posts: 52 |
Thanks to those that have donated... layers of more than 2 mines have been St Nickd with a hefty amount, may the tremble in their own blast.. |

I can think of one way to orchestrate a mining attack without running into each other's mines. At a time where many are free, say 10:30pm EST, everyone brings up site X. At 10:35 (a little breathing room) everyone mines it and then closes it. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work, although PMOG servers might not take kindly to multiple simultaneous mine-layings mayhaps. (Yes, I said mayhaps!) |
