Hey, I've been playing a lot of missions and I have to say that I find a lot of them pretty boring. Every so often I stumble upon a mission that I enjoy but it's largely luck. I think a lot of people will become bored with this. The truth is a lot of missions are just average - which is to be expected. I've taken mission after mission that sends me to the same websites over and over.
What I think would keep people more interested and be a lot more fun is if we could have a model similar to digg for missions. I realize the digg model is very "trendy" so I was hesitant to bring it up (I realize PMOG is trying very hard to be something unique), but I think it will help people find missions they enjoy a lot better.

For one thing people could vote on whether they enjoyed a mission and people could see which missions were voted for most, indicating that those missions probably had something unique about them and were not just iterations of old ideas. Frankly, I'm getting sick of the missions that take you around PMOG, or are just Google, a blog, and xkcd. More votes would be an indication of a well put together, unique mission. I don't think the "5 star rating system" really is a good indicator of a mission being worthwhile or not.

Secondly, it would be nice to have a way of recommending missions to friends. I think this would both strengthen the community - finding out what other people like and building relationships with other people - and finding missions that relate to our particular interests.

I think that having a system that incorporated something like these two ideas - voting to promote missions and sharing missions with friends - would really help improve the experience of missions. I've gotten pretty bored with missions already, even though I at first thought they were the best part of PMOG - discovering new things to browse online. I especially think that as there become more users the amount of repetitious and ununique missions will increase as people repeat the same ideas or just create missions to get levels and badges (30 high quality missions is a lot of time!).
