100 against 10? There is no reason to deploy mines. I usually have two Nicks attached to me, so I actually pay 300 to deploy one mine somewhere, while somebody has payed 20 (10 each) to stop me. It also seems Armor doesn't wear off from saving you from one mine. At least so it has been two days ago. It seems the game works against Mines and those who specialize in it. It requires balance in my opinion. At the moment mine droppers are very overlooked :( |

I think this is a temporary thing. The Vigilante association is very small right now. St. Nicks should only cost 10dp for a level 5 vigilante. It seems as though they're doing a special in order to increase the number of vigilantes. But I think this also means that leveling up as a destroyer will make mines cheaper. |

Makes sense to just try it out that wave. I at least hope so that is the case. Cheers, mate! |

I agree, mines should be cheaper. |

Given that there are two ways to circumvent mines (St. Nicks and Armor), imho mines should either be cheaper than both or improved to give some nice reward for a successful hit. |

Mines cost ten times more than St Nicks do, and only do a twentieth of the damage to dp (a triggered mine causes a loss of 5dp while a wasted mine causes a loss of 100dp). This definitely has to be fixed. Someone could effectively stop me from using a sum of mines equal to 10,000dp with a quantity of St Nicks equal to 1,000dp. Meanwhile, to do the same amount of economic damage with mines, a person needs to spend 200,000dp! Not fair at all. P.S. Please tell me if my math is wrong as I'm in need of a nap right now, but I did double-check the data so I should be right. |

All of these numbers have been played with in the last 24 hours by the PMOG folks. Mines USED to do 500 dp of damage (at least, I remember getting hit for 2500 with 5 mines). Because of the recent mine outbreak, their damage was lowered... St. Nicks were put on sale probably to encourage more people to become Vigilantes. |

The problem with St. Nicks is that they stack, and they shouldn't. If each person can only have one St. Nick attached to them at a time, St. Nick use will be more about timing, stealth, and strategy. As it is, you can drop x St. Nicks onto someone and eat up their entire mine inventory, which costs them 10x what it costs you. |

I agree with Westerly, DP is pretty cheap to come by and you can just stack 4 St. Nicks on a Destroyer for the price it costs then to buy 1 mine. Even with the price drop in mines they are still not even close to being even. I'm only a casual miner and after wasting 80dp too two st nicks in a row I will not be wasting anymore dp to diffuse st Nicks. Maybe you should be able to pay someone 10 dp to remove all the St. Nicks you currently have attached to your character. So St. Nicks just like mines have a risk of being wasted if they are stacked on a player. |

Well, 10 St. Nicks for the cost of one Mine... |

I agree with jwilk. I haven't looked at the numbers as far as costs and what not. But with both armor and st nicks working against mines, it just doesn't seem fair. There needs to be away to get around both armor and st nicks as well. Perhaps a couple of types of mines, one that bypasses st nicks, and one that does more damage against armor. Or maybe even a way to remove st nicks from yourself. |

We need dynamic pricing (pricing that changes with the amount of items deployed, number players in each class) in this case mines and st. nicks). It can happen during the nightly update or something. Though, we'd need a strong formula to follow. Get back to me on that one. >_> |

Alternately, a St. Nick could have a 10% chance of succeeding, thus making it effectively equal to the cost of a mine. I don't know about you, but percentages of success equal a more exciting game than something that is guaranteed. |

A dynamic pricing system would be nice :) |

Would it not be smarter to let Armour block St Nicks too? After all, you can be clusterbombed by an annoying Destroyer (if theres any left, that is!), however Armour deflects this. With St Nicks you've gotten a 100% hit ratio, and it can be stacked; thus all the DP you just earned finding new URL is, well and truly, wasted. |
