The alpha badge is generated from a list of emails that participated in the Alpha. Did they participate in the alpha version last year? The beta badge comes from playing this version. Although some people have noted it takes a little while to show up. |

I just got the alpha and beta badge, but I did not participate in the alpha. I sent an email request to join beta just after alpha had closed. |

I received both the Alpha & Beta badges this morning. I sent an email request to join in January (when I learned of it in Wonderland Blog) but didn't receive the invite to join until 11 days ago. How long ago did PMOG go into Beta? |

Yeah, I just got both Alpha and Beta badge a yesterday when I walked up to my computer. I just joined two or three days ago. I think I put in my email a while ago or something like that...can't remember. |

I'm fairly certain I was never in the alpha, either, but I found myself awarded with both Beta and Alpha badges in the last couple of hours. |

Yup, same happened to me. I looked at my profile today and saw I had the Alpha badge. I only joined a week or two ago. |

Same here, alpha and beta. However, I signed up a long long time ago before many of the design aspects implemented atm, i.e. the steampunk look, that are here today. When I added my email to be invited, I think pmog was still using a very simple "Cartoon" style. Perhaps alpha badges were generated from all the emails PMOG had, regardless if they had an account or not, when it was in alpha stage? |

I was waiting for the Beta badge for a while. Yesterday, I just logged out and stayed out for a while, and when I logged back in, I had both Alpha and Beta. |

I've got both badges, and I shouldn't have the Alpha--since I'd never heard of PMOG until the day I signed up. |
