Is anyone else having a problem that they don't seem to be gaining datapoints? I'm fairly sure it's a new day since the last time I went to these websites, and I've tried new ones I haven't been to in a while on some tabs. It may be that the tabs still aren't working and a day hasn't turned over yet but I doubt it, unless things are done from 24hrs since you last tried the site? Rather than a new day say at midnight GMT. Also when I've put mines on pages I never seem to hear of them going off, in events or any such place. I put them in fairly frequented areas so it's a bit strange that nothing has come from them. I've also put several nicks on people and I have heard nothing of them. Is this just a personal thing with my account as I think happened to someone else who mentioned something like the mines earlier, or is this happening to a few of us? Sorry about this long message but I'm rather wondering if I've gone crazy here. |

On a new note, I seem to have gained datapoints for three new sites just this moment even though I've not been anywhere since writing this, rather strange. Still no idea on the mines and such. |

Sometimes it takes a second for the server to catch up with the DP thing... so that would explain that (I don't know if there's a 24 hour clock or what, though). As for mines, I had (and still have) a similar problem. Once I laid a large number of mines on Digg, and it took a day or two for them to become active. I haven't gotten notification of any mines going off in a long time, but I never noticed, and I know they worked because I tripped several myself to test them given my previous problem. Anyway, I'm not sure what's going on-- I feel like I should've gotten at least the lowest mine badge by now since I literally drop 50-100 mines at a time. |

dinho if you are using firefox make sure you only have one tab open when you are going to the new sites. That seems to be the problem for me. As for mines, I was curious about the same thing, How do I know someone set them off? |

Easy, you don't. There are like 5000 people playing right now, if you could get notification for every mine that went off in real time, you couldn't get anything done... |

Now that I'm poking around a bit, I see that notification comes up on the main event page, but not on the user's profile. I think I already knew that and just flat out forgot. Anyway, I know I've left at least 250 mines now... so I hope I get that badge soon! |

Ah, it doesn't appear on the user's profile? Everything begins to make more sense, that's what was throwing me off then.

Always check the Pmog feed... |

Ah, don't think I hadn't been checking the events page for what was going on, I had just heard on SA that in your profile it showed when a mine was used. Although, I suppose I may have just mis-read it. Anyway, hopefully all is well after all. |

It shows when you trip someone else's mine... but not when yours are tripped. The news feed too will tend to be a couple minutes behind the actual events taking place. But it sounds like all the confusion is cleared up! |
