if i disengage my armor then reengage it and trip a mine, it doesnt seem to crack.

i've tripped like six in a row and after each time, i disengage then reengage then trip a mine and my armor isnt breaking.

It works.

It shouldn't though...

Are you using Firefox 2 or 3, drudge?

I've found that it works and then bites you a few minutes later when it breaks the armour quicker.

taulphin's right. Two months ago the glitch was perfect. I ran through about 30 mines with one piece of armour when I first found it.

But it appears that now, one that piece of armour is gone you'll burn through a WHOLE massive bunch of armour to address the balance.

I had posted this in the Big Thread of Bugs long ago as well. Doesn't work so well anymore. Like shard says, sometimes you have to go through a bunch of single-use armours, perhaps to make up for upsetting the karma gods.

I hope the karma gods shine on me for the next few days armour wise then!

Alerted the trustees to an interesting bug after thoroughly trying its limits (within constraints of interest and curiosity) :)

I just noticed this issue two days ago.
There were like 40 mines on my profile page and I just kept tripping one or two, disengaging my armor and reengaging it and I never lost any. I went through about 30 of the mines this way and I've had no ill effects.

I'm running v.2.4 of the toolbar and Firefox 3.

I figured that since you don't get credit for foiling mines, only for using armor, that this was intentional, but then I checked here and it seems like it's a bug.

Just wanted to let you guys know it is still an issue.

Nieman is correct...it will catch up to you...and subtract all the necessary armour from your inventory...if you don't have the armour...watch out for your dp...

This is why you do go exploiting bugs, because it will came back to haunt you ;)

First time i heard of this, considering my armor is always on.

So you're telling me I should stash all of my DP and armor in a crate somewhere and wait for it to catch up to me. And when it does, there will be nothing to subtract. Does that mean the interwebs implode or something?

I'm thinking that if you want to spend all that time and crates, the interwebs will just sort of nod respectfully as you pass by.

Or it could start eating your other tools.
