So, The thread of bugs is getting incredibly long, with a lot of duplicates. I figured I'd help out and try and maintain a current list for you guys. Here's what I have so far. Update me if I miss something. I'll cross them out as they get fixed (So long as I notice!)

Just so you all are aware, I installed Firefox for windows on my linux box using wine, And it works like a dream. The PMOG ext. causes me no issues at all. So if you think your system can handle it, it's worth a try... Edit This scheme apparently does work, but I've been getting the whole Invisible box up one side of my screen whenever I should get a XUL pop up. I think this is probably Spikey's problem too, since it seems to have the same effect. It blocks the scroller thing, thus preventing scrolling, but it takes on the image behind it so it'd just look like you couldn't scroll.

Major issues that you should look at FIRST before updating or anything!
This update does NOT work with FF2, If you're using an older OS such as win98 or ME, You have no choice but to update or find a FF3 derivative that works with your browser, Sorry. (I'm told Flock works on older systems. You'll need to use the Beta available at This link Do tell me if you get it to work.)
Update NOT working in Linux AT ALL! Tried in Flock as well, still NOTHING. Don't install it in Linux yet, Kay?

Lesser bugs, Mostly being worked on already, but still annoying
- The XUL overlays are on top of ALL applications. Also, they tend to autofocus.
- White "stripes" or full white blocks above portals and possibly other XUL overlays.
- Nicks are sometimes merely stating failed to attach St. Nick instead of maximum st. nicks attached.
- Missions don't complete. You can take the mission, but at the end of said mission you'll be dumped back to the opening page as if you never took the mission at all.
- Couple of people have reported a distinct lack of sound. I don't have mine turned on so I can't check that.
- Pressing esc will no longer close the find bar.
- Ignoring sites may or may not be working.
- No copying from Crates etc anymore. Not sure if that's a bug or a feature, But it is annoying. Also no HTML use in crates or on lightposts either. No more picture crates!? This makes Shyiskhar Sad.
- Clicking users names on Crates/Lightposts etc leads you to there user page on Ext.pmog.com.
- Messages that pop up from toolbar and get too long (Thus needing to be scrolled) lose the last little bit of the text as it gets covered by the bottom of the message box.
- You can now get two associations the same instead of three seperate individual associations. Meaning only two tools available in the Shoppe!
- Google Reader notifier (At least on mac) is now not showing whatever it is it's meant to show on the statusbar.

New ones
Riscy says that messages keep popping up, even after clicking ignore, if they have been sent via the web page as opposed to the toolbar. I haven't tested that one, But he has.
Also, I had seen a few people mention this in IRC but not on the forums, But like uselessness below a couple of people have had the popups popup at random positions up and down the screen instead of the bottom right corner as was planned.
New reports of Portals causing browser crashes on the Vista operating system. (My solution is, Dump Vista, get a good OS. And yeah, Someones gonna yell at me for that...)
Apparently lightposts are doing odd things, Such as not showing up until you minimize the window, or not showing up at all
Double Clicking your armor is no longer wise. It'll turn it on, and then the second click will eat said armor, and you will get nothing for it. Just a lost armor. (Personally, I'm inclined to agree that this is the PMOG Gods advising you to get naked with me.)

Other points you should probably be aware of
- Yes, No more "Classic" Toolbar, We're gothic Steampunk now, no wood.
- For those of you who like taking the missions even though they're not letting you finish them, If they break on pages sometimes hitting refresh will bring up the notification and let you move on.
- Reports are that download status bar causes some of the issues, If you are having troubles, try disabling it for now.
- Right now, Theming FF can sometimes theme PMOG too, leading to various annoying issues. You can switch to the default if you wish. This is not universal. I'm themed and have no issues, Others are themed and now have a totally useless PMOG toolbar.
- Not a bug, but mentioned and thus being mentioned here. No longer a choice to just close anything. You either accept or dismiss. Some people like to just close portals so they can come back and take them later etc. This is no longer an option.

Thanks, Shyiskhar!

I know this took a lot of work and effort, and I greatly appreciate it!

If you see your issue here, know we know about it.

I've seen some weird jumping around of overlays. Sometimes they're in the bottom-right corner where they belong, and sometimes they move upwards. Once an overlay appeared in the top-right, outside of my browser view area (it appeared on the Firefox navmenu, specifically over my Web Developer toolbar). I haven't seen it enough to reproduce the problem or narrow down what might cause it. I'm on a Mac, for what it's worth.

Anyone else experiencing FF3 crash when taking portals?
I run FF3 on Vista and I cannot take a portal without then having to reboot the system. It freezes and alternately flashes STOPPED and the current page URL at the lower left corner above the Windows flag.
I changed nothing on my system other than the PMOG upgrade and didn't have this issue before.

Yep - I too am running FF3 on Vista and taking a portal causes my browser to crash. It's identical to what you've described there, I was just coming to report it myself [grin]

I'll add it to the list. But I suggest you get a real OS as a solution. :P

Something I've found in the Word Association thread. Not sure if it's just me, though.

When a stashed crate appears, I can't scroll or use the side bar to get to the bottom of the screen; I HAVE to loot or dismiss the crate to do this. OK to loot and then go down, but it does encourage possible tourists to just take the crate and not play.

As for using a real OS. Vista should oink when I click it open. No argument there. If I wasn't computer illiterate I would have gone back to XP already, but I have to wait for my guru to come fix me.

I've made a ticket for the portals causing a crash on Windows Vista. Is there any additional information anyone can provide for me? An error message? A crash log...?

I can't deploy lightposts... tried on a number of different sites. I read through this nice summary and not the other thread, so sorry if this has already been addressed.

edit ... after posting this and accidentally minimizing my browser I saw the lightpost do-hicky in the bottom right had corner of my screen. Why didn't this show up in my browser or as an overlay or some such thing???

I already posted this in the other bug thread, but it's not listed here so I think it went unnoticed (or else it was just ignored, but I think it's a pretty big bug). If I'm on a page and a mission/crate/portal/etc. pops up, and I switch to a new tab before dealing with it, the box is gone when I go back to the first tab. I have to refresh the page to get it back. Quite annoying for those of us who like to switch tabs a lot.

Is this happening for anyone else?

The portal crashes happen on XP as well. Joe blames other FF ext. I personally don't care if I can't take a portal, but someone else might. It would be nice if the toolbar works with other FF ext like it always has. (well mostly worked) :D I would hate to have to decide on whether I want Pmog or a FF ext. Ya know in case it ever bothered another tool use besides Portals. :)

I also have the same problem as spikey. Though mine seem to happen randomly with a few of the other overlays. But mostly with crates.. I have to loot or ignore it to be able to scroll on the page again.

Also this only happened once, so I am not sure if it's a bug or just one random glitch. Earlier I hit a mine in the wild. I clicked "revenge" on the overlay. Instead of getting whether the nick attached or failed... all I got was a small box that said "undefined". Thought it may be because the person was full on nicks. So I went to their profile and hit the nick button. I attached 5 nicks. So the player was not full when I attempted from the overlay. I also double checked the events page to see if they had been full, but got rid of them before I nicked them by the profile.

@frodo You may want to edit your post to include your OS, browser and other extensions you have installed, as I have not had this happened. The overlays fade in opacity when I click another tab. Thus, the overlay is persistently on top of a page that didn't even trigger it, though dimmed in opacity.

I've been having a few problems with the missions lately, I can start them but can't always continue them as the dialogue boxes are failing to appear and hitting refresh is not solving it.

Wanted to add onto the sticky overlays not letting me scroll the page.
It's now doing it anytime I get a message.. whether it be a Pmail, or some finding my nicks. I have to dismiss all of them now to get on with life. The crates are still hit and miss.

Not sure if this counts as a bug, but when my armour is turned (On) and I double click it quickly (without being mined or anything), I lose a piece of armour & don't get it back. It can be done repeatedly & I think I've lost 5 armour pieces in a row that way. :(

As a side note, this has no effect on Inventory Usage numbers.

Oh yeah, about the 'not able to scroll' thing I posted earlier? Well, it doesn't always happen. However, when it does, it stuffs up trying to read a screen in a mission too. I think I'm just going to 'queue' all missions until this blows over.

But why are you doing that? Was the first double click an accident? I suggest stop double clicking your armor. :P

Perhaps that is not a bug, but the game has adapted shyiskhar's philosophy of playing naked. :)

*Thank you for the mining, in advance.

@bunni3
lol Yeah most of them were accidents. But 'scientific inquiry' (i.e. honestly, hoping inventory usage would go up...it didn't) played a role.

Anyway, thanks to chetyre for submitting it!
