Then I clicked the seek sweet revenge with a St. Nick on aol.com... nothing happened, so I do what I would normally do and clicked about 50 times. Then, I had no St. Nicks left in my inventory and it still seems as though it is not recognizing that I had laid at least one.

It's lag. Lots and lots of lag--there are many issues that are all related to this one cause.

A quick way to see if you've Nick'ed a player, albeit a slightly annoying extra step, is to keep your profile open in another tab. So you attach a St. Nick, and then refresh your profile. This way, even though you are now out of 500 dp worth of St. Nicks, you now know that Etherel15 is out of 5000 worth of mines until he can deploy one!
