I worked out a clever way to have forking paths in a mission using dead ends. However, it looks like folks can't finish my mission unless they hit all of my light posts, including the dead ends. There are some advantages to that requirement, definitely, but with all the people experimenting with "puzzle" style missions, I'd like to argue for removing this requirement. Not only would I like to reap the data points from people trying out my missions, I'd also like them to be able to get to the comments/rating screen so I can refine the process for the next mission. Is this a feature or a bug? |

I know that some missions don't require you to hit all the lightposts, just the last one (e.g. if you do the Epic Mission w/ 100 lightposts, you can take the mission, jump to the last one, and complete the mission). Not sure why it's not working with yours. |

Right, but has that changed recently, I wonder. Sadly, though, we appear to be talking to ourselves. |

You've piqued my sympathy, 86400. I'll talk to the two of you . . . I don't have anything to add on the matter, other than saying that I agree that hitting all of the lightposts should not be required. But now you are not alone on this thread. |

What should be required is a box/ boxes, eg: Mission:
Right after they've added in
Anyway, last I checked you can do lightposts in any order, and that was today. |

Apparently the Devs have some fixes in the works...but they will not be ready for a good, long time.

@tekkguy Yeah, it's true that all of the "puzzle" mission techniques were essential hacks/exploitations of the system as it's currently set up, so I'm not all that surprised that they're broken. It was just moderately a shame that it seemed to happen the same day I thought of this really clever way to do branching paths. @pixielo Unfortunately, my mission, as a single path, is actually intensely stupid, so there's not much point in going back and removing the hacks. However, especially after this last release of features, I have limitless confidence in the dev team to come up with something cool. All of that being said, I still want them to let me code for them. ;-) |
