There appears to be something that is causing the forum database to resurrect old threads when people are not replying to them.

I can verify that this happened in the thread:

I always check the "Lastest posts on PMOG" when I visit the forum. Today I noticed a thread called "HELP!" and instantly clicked on it to see if I could.

I found it was an old thread, one that I had replied to already, but there was nobody posting after me. I was the LAST person in the thread to post, yet the "Latest posts on PMOG" said otherwise.

I took no big notice of it at the time, thinking that perhaps someone had deleted their post after making it. As the person the "latest posts" said had replied, is not listed in that thread as a poster.

The thread was also showing up on page 1, just as if someone had replied to the post.

I noticed that the information I had given in my reply was outdated, so I quickly edited the post as to not give false information to anyone who happened to read it.

It should also be noted that before my edit to remove the outdated information, my reply was from 3 months ago.

Chetyre brought up that many necro-threads had risen today, which made me think that perhaps this is not an isolated incident and perhaps the database was hiccuping. Perhaps an issue with the "latest posts on PMOG" randomly grabbing from dead threads from months ago?
