I'm not sure that this is a bug or just a complaint/suggestion. I don't know how the previous animation operated, but I find that I've grown tired of waiting on the animation, and will often click over to another tab to read or check on something, if I take a portal. The slow, blinking, blue-orange stuff is nice... it's a portal; sure, a little action never hurt. However, it opens the target URL of the portal in whatever Firefox tab is 'current' and not the tab the portal originated on. This can be quite frustrating as it leaves the original tab blue and unreadable, normally, and then your portal is opened in a tab you were trying to read, or in many cases so far, I was trying to write a forum post, and lost it, not knowing that PMOG was targeting the tab for the portal. I think it'd be beneficial for the portal to target the tab containing it's source URL, and not whatever Firefox tab is current. |

Probably because it doesn't bother most people... I can assure you that it has been mentioned to the Devs, but with that said, there have been far more requests for Portals to open up in new tabs entirely. |

That'd be good to. I wasn't aware of that request, nor it's popularity. I was hoping for some info either way... why this can be done, why it can't, what ELSE would be done, etc. So thank you pixielo, as usual! |
