Hi, PMOGeon,

If you're upgrading to Firefox 3 from Firefox 2, please feel free to post any questions, or issues you encounter here.

Or, for individualized assistance, e-mail help at pmog dot com and I will do my very best to get you up and running.

Yours,
Joe

"Considering how resistant to upgrading I was at the beginning---I am very glad that I finally did! PMOG has never seemed shinier, or worked more quickly!

Odd happening....
On one PC with FF3 I continuously get repeated pop up messages eg. xxx just triggerd one of your St Nicks.
On the other, nothing. Just and initial message on an event and nothing further.
Trying to figure out what may be different between the two, but not had any luck so far :)

fluerbrawl:

Are there any significant differences between the two set ups? Different extensions installed? Different Privacy settings?

I've noticed if i clear the cookies from pmog on the problem one it sorts it all out, until a few events later.
Will check on differences and update.

@viewfromthepeak:

This won't be an issue in version .5.

It likely has to do with the theme you're using in Firefox 3, or, if you're not using a theme, you might want to try one and then remove it, which should get the woodgrain to show up.

I... can't get the toolbar to install at all. It says something about an 'unexpected installation error.'
(Mac user, though that hasn't made much difference before now.)

-aHA. I think I shot my own trouble, in that the current version of the extension doesn't go with 3.0.1 - which is what I installed today. Pls to be updating the toolbar soon?

It goes with 3.0.1.

Are you using 3.1 (Beta)?

Are you downloading from this link:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US...

That's the only download link I've ever tried. Also, I checked the browser specs, and I've definitely got 3.0.1.

The error messages I'm getting are here, the top one being just before the browser requests I restart and the bottom being post-restart, under 'manage add-ons.'

A couple of tries, I haven't gotten the 'inexplicable error' message, but the toolbar still fails to show up after I restart the browser.

@minkhollow Now that 0.5 is out, you may want to update again!

I can't get the toolbar to install. I'm using version 3.0.1, and I keep getting the error message:

Error

Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US...

because: Download error

cannot download 0.5 :'(

it says:

Firefox kon het bestand op

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US...

niet installeren omdat: Downloadfout
-228

translated it would be:
Firefox couldn't install the file on ... because: downloading issue -228

won't be what it really is in english, since I didn't have any idea how to translate this little message, always having trouble translating error messages XD :P

It's been happening to a lot of people. It's something to do with mozilla's update service I think, Other updates have been having trouble installing also. Try again in a short while, Hopefully it'll be happy by then...

.5 is giving me the same error messages as .420 did. With the difference that 'manage add-ons' still shows .420 rather than .5... but that sounds like a Firefox issue more than PMOG.

@Carree There is no woodgrain with the new Toolbar; it has been removed for the time being while the fresh bugs are being worked on.
