1. If you open a new tab and browse in that tab, the toolbar doesn't seem to add the points. 2. I've completed the criteria for a couple of missions including torch and fellow traveler, but its been a few days and I still haven't gotten them yet. Any idea how to fix these? |

nitwit, it appears to depend on what page you have open. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. How to fix? Time and patience. What version of FFx are you using? |

FF3b5 is still not totally compatible with Pmog, when FF settles on a stable configuration, I'm sure that the Gamelayers team will have an updated Toolbar available tout de suite.

I just noticed with the closing out of my tabs that the status bar updated itself. Interesting. |

I haven't noticed any dp problems with tabbed browsing either, but I tend to cut the Toolbar a lot of slack time to update, e.g. I just let it catch up whenever...

nitwit88, FFx3b5 changed the way tabs are acknowledged as loaded. This effects the response and has created some instability. I suspect about the time we see FFx3RC2, pmog will be stabler and work consistently with it. Last I checked FFx3RC1 is on track to be out in the next few months. However, last I actually poked at the major bugs that have been creeping up - I personally think they should do a few more betas. We will see what actually happens. I suspect PMOG is listening for the main load event for a new page. Honestly, if PMOG were to report every page loaded - whether you have opened that tab or not - it opens itself to easy exploitation. You could set up bookmark list in Firefox, or a series of them, and just hit open all. I know I can open about 40 tabs at a time before Firefox chokes. You direct each at a unique URL . . . so once a day you just open, quit, start new session, open, quit, start new session . . . and boom! Lots of points! I honestly feel that would be seriously unfair. So, how to prevent that? Well, it needs to first catch that a new page has loaded. Then if you are actively inside that tab it can calculate you points. If you open a new tab on the side, it doesn't send the point update until you are actively in that tab. Which makes sense to me. That would also reduce the overall grunt on the browser. Then again, I think it shouldn't check or send any events for the page until you are in that tab. Then flip a variable showing that tab as viewed since last load. When you change pages it checks to see if you are actively in the window or not. If you are, it is still viewed, if not it is not viewed. When it flips the bit to viewed it performs the server checks and updates your status. At least, seems reasonable to me :p.. oh god, I just geeked out, didn't I? oops. |

So far we've been keeping up with the Firefox 3 Betas, but 5 got away from us. As Pixielo said, we'll settle when they do. Thanks for playing! |
