Browser:Currently FF3 Location: Toolbar The Problem: I set a portal that would take a visitor from the St Louis Cardinals MLB page to that of the Chicago Cubs. This morning, when I went to check Twitter, it showed up there. UPDATE: set another one wronky as well, but that mightve been me. Checking it now. :\
What were you doing at the time?: Lots of things, though I had checked tweets about an hour before using the facebook app. A few tabs and windows open that included a stumbling tab, a window with various online job applications, icanhascheezburger, and a windown with tabs for searches with XP Operating System: Windows XP Boxers or Briefs: Trust us, it's serious business. Yours or mine? |

@sandiek, So it sounds like to me you're saying the portals you're laying are ending up on different pages then what you set them on. I will look into this further. |

I could not reproduce this. It may have occurred during a period of server load, and it was thinking you were on the previous page (eg the toolbar hadn't loaded completely). If you continue to have the problem, or if anyone else starts noticing this regularly, please advise, and I will look into it further. |

Thanks. A couple of 'test' portals I set afterwards worked okay, so Im not sure what happened.

It could be. Sometimes when you get that message there is a latency issue between you and our servers. It might have been a memcache problem (basically everything needed to catch up to the other). Let me know if you have more problems though. |
