Oh, how I love the "plain" skin for the toolbar.

Oh, how I loathe the "classic."

Over the past few days, for some reason, my toolbar has been (seemingly at random) switching between classic and plain when I'm signed in. Clearly, this isn't anything other than an aesthetic problem.

I've tried re-registering my preferences, restarting Firefox (v3.0.1, now), clearing my cookies, signing in and signing out and cursing at the screen. None of these methods have proven fruitful, and I'm currently stuck on "classic--" much to my chagrin.

Thoughts?

(I am running the latest version of the pmog toolbar.)

Thanks!

I'm not an expert (Though I play one on TV), But aren't the preferences stored online? I know no matter what computer I log in from it changes me to the plain skin.
Which would suggest to me this is not something you can do anything about, But just in case.. I'm sure the Gods that rule this place would appreciate a little knowledge.

As in, Operating System, Any extensions/plugins you are using etc...

Then we'll put the powers that be on alert.

Shyishkhar is right -- the preferences for this are saved online and sent down to your toolbar when you log in.

That being said -- do you have any other extensions installed? I'd like to start there, since we haven't had anyone else reporting this yet. It could be you have an extension that is blocking (somehow) the reception of that preference and it is returning to the default (classic).

I spoke to Duncan, our CTO and he said that likely one of our server slices is a little out of sync. I'd suggest clearing your cookies, local cache, and PMOG completely (you can do this by clicking on the P (on the toolbar) > Preferences > Reset Profile and then restarting Firefox.

Hopefully, then you can go in and edit your preferences and they'll take hold and be honored. Sorry for the trouble.

Things seem back to plain at the moment-- many thanks!

If it helps the learning process at all, I don't have any other Firefox extensions.
