I really enjoy the sound effects that come with PMOG, save one: the portal sound squeals through my brain and makes it feel like my soul is trying to make a break for it via my nasal passages. Does anyone else get this? If so, is there any chance that the Portal Sound could be changed to something less like the Mosquito(http://tinyurl.com/zkggu)? Failing that - is there a way to switch one sound effect off and keep the others? I like the mine sound. :) (Actually, maybe the mine sound should be replaced with the portal sound - mines that cause pain would be more realistic). All whining aside: I really would be interested to know if anyone else gets this. |

You can turn it off from the Preferences tab, either from your Toolbar, or from the Pmog add-on menu in your Tools tab.
And no, that turns off all sound effects...you can't selectively turn them off... |

Although, it is feasible that they could make it so you coudl modify the sound files or give you alternative options for sound in the future. However, that is higher level configurability that will probably come once bigger bugs, aka the important game-play-aspects are taken care of. |

Ya but Pixielo, I don't think that setting works correctly yet (at least it doesn't for me) ;) But the sound is rather annoying, it's sorta jarring, especially if you accidentally have the volume up louder than you should. I personally don't think there's any need for sound in PMOG, but being able to turn it off is good enough for me. |

I turned it off as soon as I realised that the sound came from portals. That seems to have stuck. :) I'm more interested in finding out if anyone else has a similar reaction to it. |

It does not bother me so much. I guess I am used to much more annoying sounds from some of the applications I use at work. |
