Currently the toolbar only has two colour options. The plain one unfortunately, works only for Firefox themes that are light in colour. May I suggest adding at least one more colour option of white-on-black so that people can at least read the text on dark themes? |

psht yeah. The laptop computer that I'm always using has the Pmog toolbar show white background. which is really hard to read unless you highlight it. |

I run a black theme with the classic Toolbar skin, and it's awesome. Sorry that you're having troubles! |

gurodragon1, Are you running a non-standard Firefox and/or Windows Theme? |

Yeah, I'm having text-readability issues with the plain version too. Oh well, the classic version compliments the NASA Night Launch theme well enough. :] |

I would LOVE this. I went to great pains to tweak everything on my lappy to be a cool dark theme. PMOG is the ONLY thing I couldn't make the way I wanted. A darker, white-on-black version would be wonderful. Of course, there are some more important things to take care of first! |

@kitt I run the same set up...the night launch is perfect with the classic Toolbar.

I would love Toolbar skins. Consider that a vote for more customization. |

The plain version works fine for me. I like it a lot better - being less distracting. |

@nivekian there are some issues with themes and FF3. I use the Walnut theme - and I have it set to plain - and the walnut shows underneath, so it looks like I have a walnut-colored toolbar. I like it. |

I use the godforsaken "high contrast inverse" theme for ubuntu, and the classic skin works quite nicely with it. the wood paneling doesn't show up, so I get white text on a dark blue background.

oh man this is very interesting. Thanks for posting here - would any of you be willing to post screenshots of your Firefox windows, so we can see what your themes look like? As we're planning more PMOG :-) For example, here's a screencap of my plain Firefox: http://img.skitch.com/20080814-m... (just after a crate/mine combo :-D ) |

Sure! I'm on FF 3.0 with Walnut and the "plain" PMOG toolbar. |

The plain style works fine, and is what I normally use.

Is there an easy way to allow user-submitted skinning? How is the toolbar appearance generated? |

I'm running Flock 2 Beta 2 on Windows XP SP2. I have the same theme as davidsev, but no matter what I do, I can't get the text to be readable on that color background. All of the popups for missions and crates and are black, and I'm kind of thinking that the background color here is meant to be black because I recall it saying somewhere that the wood grain was replaced with a streamlined black design. I've tried deleting cache, deleting cookies for pmog.com and ext.pmog.com and restarting the comp and browser a few times. No dice. |

I would just leave it plain for now and skip the classic design.

Yeah, I think I'll have to, but the black would look really cool judging from what I've seen. |
