Release Notes - PMOG Firefox Extension - Version 0.5.1

Please log bugs against this version in this thread.

Bug Fixes

  • Keyboard commands have returned

  • The Ignores Sites function has returned

  • Fixed some Flock-specific issues

  • Symbols in overlays no longer cause overlays to appear completely empty

Improvements

  • All overlays have an "x" in the upper right hand corner which acts as an overlay "kill switch;" this button causes the XUL window to close without needing to communicate with the PMOG servers
  • Now when you click the "Thanks" button on a crate you loot, the message is prepopulated with a quick "Thank you!" in case your time is in demand

  • XUL windows no longer wait for the web page to render! Go to http://techcrunch.com and watch the magic!

  • The messaging window now has a countdown counter

  • The scrolling arrows for mission stops and PMails with long descriptions/text have had their visiability greatly improved

New Features

  • Completely redesigned HUD centered around "Play, Create and Explore"

  • Mini-Profile allows you to get an instant picture of your PMOG progress

  • "Jaunt," "Summon," and "Venture Forth" are ready to be passively played

  • The ability to toggle between text-only, icons-only or both icon and text toolbar

  • There is now a St. Nick sound which will play when someone foils your attempt to mine this page

I like the updates but miss the old style taskbar that showed me how much of each item I still had.

It's purty. The only thing I miss is my DP, but I think this is going to make it a much more passive game for me - like I'll still be active running around but since I won't be tracking things, it'll be a nice surprise when I come back and see how much DP I have...or something. It made sense in my head.

It's purty. We'll just settle with that.

So where do we download the newest version? I'm not seeing it here or on Firefox's Extension list.

Nice idea, but it needs work. It won't do anything when I click the crate button. When I attempt to lay a mine, I get the message "Could not deploy the mine action, because there is no page loaded. Try reloading the page" Also, it should tell me how many points I have and you shouldn't have to go through a maze of menus to do something.

@aalbright, I've seen no other reports of bugs like the ones you mention and furthermore, this is not the bug thread. For bugs, please post here.

Include your OS, FF version and any add-ons when you post, and it will be much easier for the dev team to help you out.

not sure I like this new toolbar much.... it's pretty, but its too BIG now, no inventory on it, have to go through menus to get to anything. seems a lot less 'passive' if you ask me

I'd like the inventories back, please. And once I've clicked on "Profile" it won't come back up again so I can check my DPs.

The new toolbar is too big, I liked the old ones' size. Everything is hidden behind a labyrinth of menus and I can't see my inventory at a glance anymore. You should just bring back the old toolbar until you get this new one unfucked.

I still can't run the extension properly in Linux. Is that still being worked on or should I post a full bug report? I haven't seen any mention of it for a while on the forums and I miss having access at work :(

It might make sense to make that information more prominent for the time being. It can really mess up a Linux Firefox if you don't know how to disable it.

Though it's a bit big as some said, I would like to have the 'Play, Explore, Create' buttons in the middle of the bar rather than the current buttons, as these are much more used than the invite, pmail etc.

Maybe you can build the extension to support customization such as user choosing his own background image for the bar, rearranging the icons in what order he seems fit for his style etc.

Keep up the good work though!
