I'm a little curious what the target age for this game is.
I've read so many tos, disclaimer things on places I can never remember which ones have which minimum ages and what not. (Not that a lot of them keep younger people out...)

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the target is ages 20-45. Probably why the crowd here is a little more mature and respectful than the typical group you might find on a game site.

I think we must be fairly technically inclined on the whole, too: Firefox users running an unusual add-on to play a game that is unusually abstract in nature. I don't think most people would even grok the concept, let alone get into the game.

HAHA! GROK!

There are a crazy range of ages here. I mean until we drove him off we had a 15 year old (Whom I still kinda liked, even after the debacle) and apparently Czarchron is 111.
I'm 28, but if you ask my wife she'll tell you I'm mentally around 20 years below that.
Which leads me to believe that this game is less about age, and more about inherent geekness. Like my orderly buddy up there said, You have to have a certain interest in geeky things to use ff in general (Although it's getting more popular) and to install weird addon's and spend time mining pages around the net.. well. You know... It's gotta encourage a certain TYPE of person.

Wow, I totally missed what happened in that thread. And I'm glad I missed it. That was a mess within a mess.

Nobody create a politics thread, plzkthx.

The group here is not just mostly of a mature age and technically inclined...most of us share an almost unhealthy obsession with bacon.

I wouldn't call an obsession with Gods meat unhealthy. I would say that some few of us have developed the heresy of Tofu. That IS unhealthy.
And yeah. No politics. I'm currently watching the Religion thread closely. It's been nice so far, although a debate is now raging... (Sorry.. My fault) It's raging pleasantly though. I don't think anyone has any anger going on, just differences in opinion.
But, in order to not threadjack, I would like to say that the game seems to really be less about age and more about Geekness. I've met some pretty random age groups in IRC alone!

Hitting the big four-oh next year, folks.
Oh, and I don't think we drove him off. He sort of left of his own accord. A technicality, I know, but it's there.
