I tend to be put off continuing missions when I get WOT warnings - what's your experience of the value of these? I use Interclue whenever possible to check out the site, but this isn't always possible. (Note: for those unfamiliar with them, these are Firefox add-ons; WOT assesses qualities of sites and Interclue gives a preview, wherever possible, without one's having to actually visit)

I've taken over 2000 missions...and I've never run into an 'unsafe' site.
I've run into a few unsavory ones, but that's a matter of taste...not safety.

From my experience, WOT has proven to be pretty worthless. Its a peer review system, and who ever these "peers" are have rather nebulous standards for what is "dangerous" or "untrusted". And of course, there are rarely commented reasons or justifications for given ratings.

I'm still quite new so I haven't seen much yet. But i don't think its nice to get pop ups . I don't like when the missions don't end. I'm there waiting for the next step and it never appears not sure why.

@Sharky200 Are you sure you're in the correct thread?
You can change your preferences to avoid pop-ups, just set all your Quality Thresholds to 5 stars...
As for missions that 'don't end'...perhaps you need to make sure that you are set to receive third-party cookies, and that you hit 'stop' while the page is loading to force the mission to pop-up to show...

Also the Makers have discussed a malicious site reporting tool: http://pmog.com/forums/pmog-misa...

If you don't know it already, to protect yourself against malicious scripts, install NoScript (it's a FF addon). Once you get used to using it, it's indispensable. I use it all the time... slows me down a bit, but hey I feel safer.

I am pretty safe since I have a firewall and a Mac. Don't install anything you don't trust, no matter where it is from.

I am guessing FF3, but it could be a 2 birds, 1 cup video file.

Riiiight...I just wanted to confirm that Deathcow was a wee bit confused on the topic...
Firefox is safe, some websites are not. Do not download weird stuff. That is all.

I've gotten my share of porn portals that weren't marked NSFW but no viruses.
