To the Lightpost
by the Pathmakers Alliance of Remembrance

When the first lightpost was lit, many years ago, Eight stood in the circle of light it cast. Of the Eight, only Six are still known to us.

These Six are of Order and Chaos. Of Order there were: Pathmakers, bringers of light; Bedouins, saviors of flesh and coin; and Benefactors, they who tirelessly give.

Of Chaos there were: Destroyers, breakers of concentration; Vigilantes, the lost sheep, oh they who fight their own; and Seers, who use their sight to taunt.

The wilds of the internet called to the Seven, and they left the context of the first lightpost to make other tools and explore on their own terms. Only the Pathmaker remained, sworn forever to illuminate the context of websites for Passive-ists and to keep alive the Histories of the PMOG.

It is written that when the 144,000,000th lightpost is lit, then shall we know the remaining Two.

As of this posting, 21,043 lightpost have been placed.

The just leaves 143,978,957 to go.

I have decided to make it my quest to place as many lightposts as possible so that the final two associations might be revealed.

I know that I cannot do this alone, and therefore, I call upon all Pathmakers to aid in this quest. Let us make bright the path to the hidden ones.

I also call upon all others, both of Order and of Chaos, to assist in finding our lost brethren for the ultimate betterment of all PMOG-kind.

Hints for Pathmakers:

1. When placing Lightposts, although making Missions can help in generating DP, you do not have to use a Lightpost in a Mission to make it count towards the total. Simply placing them counts, whether they are used in a mission or not.

2. Remember that you can always delete a Lightpost that you've placed by going to your profile and clicking on the "Edit Lightposts" link.

3. You can only place one Lightpost per page, but if you've deleted a Lightpost, you can go back and place another one. Deleted Lightposts do not subtract from your total or the grand total number of Lightposts.

By my calculations, if the lightpost usage rate continues steadily at the accelerated pace it has so far during the Week of Order, it will only take 60 years and 8 months for the magic number to be met. Come on guys, we can do it!!

I think it used to be lower than that...after all they already have the pages up for the new associations and items ;P

HOPEFULLY, we won't really need that many light posts. I wanna build some walls (or maybe knock some down!) before I'm old and gray.

Something tells me 144,000,000 is a place holder ;)

One can only hope, but I'll still continue my quest until we meet the lost ones.

snap! I need to finish off the missions I've got in draft... and then some. At least the fact some problems with creating a mission today meant that I laid almost double the lightposts needed contributed to something

Did that number get reset when they reset our tool usage stats?
That could explain why it's still so low.

I'm totally doing this. When they lower the number to something like a million and it's reachable.
