Beside creating high-rated missions, and travelling around internet world like a crazy chicken, what else can be done do earn datapoints in a fast way? |

Creating amazing / enticing missions that *everyone* wants to take (and that are featured in the Tweet of the Day via the PMOG twitter account). You'll get 10DP for everyone who takes your mission, and when they're on hot topics, or super-useful (like the IRC one, for example) ... it'll be like it's raining DP. It's also a nice passive way of doing it -- earn DP even while you sleep, without hacking the system. |

I'd already tried and didn't find anything interesting. Results 1 - 9 for get data points. (0.36 seconds) I'll try search again later. |

I've seen a couple players that are clearly abusing the referral points - say the persons name is <nick>. Their allies are <nick>gmail, <nick>aol, <nick>bmm, <nick>yahoo, <nick>yahoo, etc. And of course, <nick> has looted dozens of crates left by the sockpuppets. Sad, really. |

It just takes away the fun of the game for those players. I can't see what is the aim of that, because there are no prizes on the game or even a rank. I navigate randomly when I need on the web to collect points, made some missions to got a little more and share some interesting sites and that's it, made some friends around and that's all I get from this "game". Is there anything else I don't know? |

I have the same feeling about this game you have. There's not much you can do, maybe that's why they call it a passive game ;) Maybe as a gamer I'm just addicted to leveling up, that's rewarding enough for me, but it would be nice if the game had some more substance or strategy to it. |

You have to realize this is beta. Exploits and bugs abound, and it's up to us to give the developers feedback on what is fun and what isn't. |

never mind fast, how will i ever collect 5995 points to level up to 10? the amount of points needed at each level must increase dramatically-- must go check that level chart. |

I've been using my 4 stars missions to level up. It's working... slowly but it's working. FranciscoCampos.com

Well, first off, grinding DP in PMOG is no more fun than gold farming is in MMORPGs. Let the DP fall where they may, and then your level will function as it's meant to - as a measure of participation. That said, I did notice that there was a lot of DP I was missing because I was reading sites via RSS rather than on the sites themselves. Since I already have a del.icio.us account and the del.icio.us add-on for firefox, I just tagged everything I read daily there. Then I can find that tag in the sidebar, right click, and choose "open in tabs". That will open each link in it's own tab and then I can browse through at my leisure. I already had everything I check daily that didn't have an RSS feed, so it was no trouble to implement. If you have a real lot of sites, use more than one tag, because opening a lot of tabs at once can slow Firefox down (for example, my webcomics have their own separate tag). If you're just looking for random links, you can also look at the del.icio.us/popular page, which usually has good-quality links you might not have found on your own. (In fact, this was also a habit I had pre-PMOG because I have found some fabulously useful or interesting links there.) |
