Mission Description

Cannabis sativa, cannabis indica and cannabis ruderalis are all types of cannabis, more commonly known as marijuana. It is a psychoactive drug that acts on receptors in the brain called anandamine receptors which in turn act on the cannabinoid receptors, releasing dopamine (anandamine is a chemical in the brain discovered around fifteen to twenty years ago; it is responsible also for the munchies users sometimes experience) which causes you to get high. The status of marijuana according to the federal government is schedule I. Schedule I means it has no medical value and has a very high potential for abuse. This drug has been illegal since the 1930's, formally becoming illegal with the Marijuana Stamp Act of 1937. Marijuana's legal status has been disputed over the years by many scientists, government study groups, individual study groups among other people of that nature. The goal of these tests, however, has not always been pure and honest scientific research. The people should be entitled to unbiased information and a choice of whether they want to smoke marijuana or not. Unfortunately, this is not the way things are, but there ARE sources to unbiased information. The goal of this mission is not to convince anyone of anything, but only to give anyone who takes it access to unbiased information about cannabis. Now: The Mission of (Unvarnished) Truth
