Mission Description

"Fly Right, Skyrates!" Skyrates is a flash based game created by a group of former Carnegie Mellon University (Entertainment Technology Center) students now working in the game design industry. It is currently in Beta testing, but "Gamma" is a more accurate description, so if you enjoy shaping the games you play and don't mind occasional bugs come give it a try. The game itself is about anthropomorphic animals flying planes, arcade combat against enemy pirates and an interesting trading economy. Skyrates takes place in a world where huge chunks of land (skylands) were lifted into the skies during a worldwide cataclysm; all that rests below is now ocean. When this happened, the "Government" of the Old World broke into three groups: the Crimson Armada (Red), the Emerald Republic (Green), and the Azure Conclave (Blue). Later the school founded for teaching new pilots blossomed into a faction of their own (Flight School and Faculty). I will walk you through the steps you need to not only play, but immerse yourself in the game and it's culture. Well, let's get started... See ya Skyside!
