 Mission Description
A lot of science has moved from the lab bench to the desktop and on to PCs. As computing becomes more ubiquitous and the norm the demand for computing resources has increased with more users wanting to do bigger and bigger calculations. A solution to this problem is distributed Grid computing. This mission is an introduction to Grids and who is using them and where. While sounding like other distributed systems the security, authorisation and ease of use for the scientist marks it separate from other systems like BOINC.
