Once upon a time, things used to be different.
Before the Internet world of Facebook and Myspace, there was LambdaMOO, where anyone with the most basic of computer frameworks could socialize, program, and turn their imaginings into bits and bytes.
Today, this seemingly outmoded place lies just beneath the surface of the every day.
Forget Second Life - any computer with telnet capabilities (within the past 18 years, basically, but don't hold me to that) can connect.
